Games in the last 5 plus years have seen their output go from resolutions like 720p and 1080p all the way up to 4k. However, with that jump has come major hits to performance. Be it on a high end PC or a gaming console.
Add on top of that the lack of optimization and even a card like the 5090 not being able to hit 60fps without upscaling (DLSS) and frame generation, many are not happy with the state of gaming. Plus many dont seem to get the difference between upscaling and frame gen and instead put them together to get "fake frames"
Well its time to talk about this. Is gaming performance dead or can things improve? Is it the Developers fault or the publishers?
