In this video, I will show you how you can leverage proxies to maintain a very smooth viewport performance while handling high large numbers of high poly objects in the scene.
In the context of Corona, proxies do not enhance rendering speed or quality in any manner. Otherwise, all the objects within the scene would be automatically converted into proxies just before the rendering process begins. Proxies prove valuable for maintaining a responsive viewport performance when dealing with numerous high-poly objects within the scene. Additionally, they assist in keeping scenes lightweight, as only simplified proxy objects are included in the scene file, while the actual objects are loaded from an alternative location, potentially even from a separate hard drive.
