Hi all! Welcome back to all of my subscribers and a BIG 👋👋👋 to everyone new to the channel. My name is Matt, and I'm a filmmaker and entrepreneur living in Colorado. Up until today, this channel was filmmaking gear-focused, but the times they are a-changin'.
I started out in film about 10 years ago, but never got the foothold I had hoped to gain. Flash forward to 2016 - I was broke in Los Angeles, without an apartment, and jobless (and let's be clear, all three were by my own design...more on that soon enough.) In a matter of three years, I was able to get an amazing corporate job, start my filmmaking business, and went full-time as a commercial director and filmmaker by September of 2020 in rural Colorado. Not L.A., not Vegas, not New York City...in Fort Morgan, Colorado. How? Why? What was the secret?
There wasn't a secret. In fact, I want to tell you everything I did and what I continue to do to operate a successful business with more in the pipeline as an entrepreneur and filmmaker. I didn't think this was possible in 2016, but mindsets change as fast as the times if we dedicate ourselves to putting our intention to work.
I'm excited to share all of this with you as we embark on a new direction with this channel. And to anyone who wonders if they can do that thing they always wanted to do...well, yes. Yes, you can.
