The Social Security 2100 Act proposes 14 major changes to increase benefits for Social Security recipients. The first seven changes include preventing future cuts to the average wage index, changing the earning credit for caregivers to receive worker credits for up to five years, eliminating waiting time for disability payments, taking away the disability earnings cliffs, increasing minimum Social Security benefits by $440 per month for those that work 30 years, calculating 75% of surviving and deceased spouse benefits, and increasing benefits after 15 years of eligibility. Representatives Jim Gomez and Annie Custer express their support for the proposal, emphasizing the importance of securing Social Security for future generations.
