The #1 Feature Missing in Google Analytics and how to fix it!
Google Analytics is missing a VARY vital filter across all the reports. You cannot see how old the content on your site is or filter it by content age. That also means that it's really hard to figure out what content on your site doesn't work.
When you check the articles that are getting too few pageviews you really need to filter out any articles that didn't have time yet to rank.
It typically takes 9-12 months before an article has matured in Google and that means that we need to filter out the URLs that are less than 7-8 months old, at least.
That's not possible in Google Analytics.
But there's a way around it!
You can do this with the Big Data Analytics tool inside Ezoic. Here you can add a segment (read: filter) for content age and you can sort the content by weeks or months since it was published.
There are some hiccups and important steps to get right to make this report work. I walk you over these steps so you know exactly how to do this across your own sites!
