The Shooting Show - Irish goats and taxidermy insights
This week, Orion Hunting Tours guide Nick Latus joins guide Tommy Hynes as he takes two English hunters out to an island on one of southern Ireland's many lochs. The goats number upwards of 70 but that's no guarantee of success - Nick knows goat hunting can be as hard as any other quarry stalk, and you could go all day without seeing one.
Nick follows up the story at the Irish Game Fair at Birr Castle, where he catches up with taxidermist Kurt Ecker. Picking up a recently completed goat head, he takes the chance to interview Kurt on how he got into taxidermy, his tricks of the trade, and what his favourite animals are to work with.
