Realtime Chat using only PHP Ratchet and Vue.js/Sockets
This isn't your grandfather's internet. In 2020, PHP can now be used to create a real-time backend Async Chat Server. In this walkthrough, I use the PHP Ratchet library as a backend and plug a Vue.js with Sockets frontend to talk to it.
What really got me thinking was how easy it was for PHP to do something so nonnative to it. Certainly an option to consider if you want to keep everything in PHP.
