In this woodworking tutorial, I will demonstrate how to build a farmhouse coffee table by using various woodworking techniques. This coffee table is made from 2x4 lumber and for this specific example I will be using free reclaimed lumber I found from a basement demolition. I will detail each step of the project so you can create your own diy coffee table. This Farmhouse Coffee table features, a slated pine wood table top, a slated pine wood bottom shelf, classic farmhouse style x end caps, a sturdy 2x4 pine frame and a wonderful finish with white paint and dark stain. This coffee table is really sturdy and one of the heaviest coffee tables I have ever built. I really like the 2x4 frame structure, and the joinery used on the project which includes many glued joints and kreg jig pocket hole joints, all of which are fairly easy! I am super happy with how the design came out and I think you would find it beautiful as well if you built one of your own! Don't forget to download the free plans! These SketchUp plans are completely free to use, and you can modify and alter the SketchUp document as you wish, I hope this comes in handy!
