How to Add Someone to a Conversation in Slack
1. *Open the Conversation*
Go to the direct message or group conversation where you want to add a new person.
2. *Click the Arrow Icon*
At the top right of the conversation window, click the small *Arrow* or *Add people* icon (usually displayed with a “+” symbol).
3. *Search for the Person*
In the *Find Members* section, start typing the name of the person you’d like to add.
Slack will show you a list of users, including those who are not currently in the channel or conversation. Select the person you want to add.
4. *Add to Channel*
Click *Add* next to their name, then click *Next* to proceed.
5. *Select Conversation History*
Choose if you want them to see:
*Full conversation history:* They’ll see all previous messages in the chat.
*Only messages from now:* They’ll only see messages sent after they were added.
6. *Confirm Addition*
Click **Done**, and the person will be added to the conversation.
