Central Texas farm gives second chance to men in recovery
Simple Promise Farms and Ranch House Recovery offers those who live with addiction a second chance by providing a program that lasts longer than 30 days. It's a number that founder, Brandon Guinn believes isn't enough time for anyone to turn their life around. The property offers a working farm where residents plant, grow and harvest organic vegetables, which are then sold in local farmers markets. Proceeds from the market often go scholarships to help fund residents who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford the help they need. Their mission is to support a life-long commitment to productive and healthy living while building community connection through the power of empathy, teamwork, and giving back.
