I was struggling to find the perfect song to play for the father daughter dance at my wedding. We have so much of the same music taste and there's so many great songs out there yet nothing seemed personal enough for the connection my dad and I share. About two weeks before the big day, and thinking there was no way I could write and produce a song in time... I sat at the piano just to see what came to me. I kept trying things that just weren't working and almost gave up on it. Then I just started singing what I was feeling. "How can I fit it... into a minute, all of the moments, all the years. And I don't know how to... say this out loud with... out breaking down in tears". Definitely the hardest time emotionally I've ever had getting through the writing and recording process and even while putting together this video. I surprised my dad with this song at my wedding, and really did not anticipate how much it would resonate with our guests as well. To all the daughters and dads out there. If you're lucky enough to share a special bond like the one I share with my dad, I hope you can relate to this song and all the memories and emotion that go along with it.
