FL Studio getting a louder snappy kick using maximus and soft clipper
Lets say you have an instrumental given to you and it has a weak kick. Using maximus and the soft clipper and fine tuned settings, you will be able to bring that kick up in the mix. I have used this method for a very long time. Just be careful with the settings because if there are vocals in the mix, other melodies it may not be a desired sound to raise those areas up because it can cause a nasty wobble sound. Typically though this should work on any instrumental. You can also use the trick on sub bass and if its only a drum sample, use it on snares. You may also have to use an eq after the soft clipper to turn down the kick again but still sound snappy.
