The Dione uses 17 drivers and a lot of spatial processing and real-time EQ to achieve a 5.1.2-channel configuration. Drivers bounced off the ceiling and walls create the feeling of surround sound, including overhead effects from Dolby Atmos soundtracks. What we found most impressive, however, was the amount of bass this slim sound bar can produce.
It's great for music, too. You can stream using Bluetooth, and also over Wi-Fi or UPnP using the Devialet app. Apple users can stream using AirPlay 2, and no matter how you stream, a built-in DAC makes everything sound its best.
The unique little ball in the center isn't just there to look cool (which it does!) — it's a pretty smart little center speaker that you can rotate if you mount the Dione on the wall.
