Documenting the April 8, 2024 solar eclipse in Boston, MA - and answering my question if the sunlight will "dim" since it's only a 93.2% magnitude. I've heard 90%-99% will be nowhere like 100%, but how much will you see?
As seen from Boston:
Start: 2:16pm
Peak: 3:29pm
End: 4:37pm
Yep, I was trying to get the solar eclipse in between the buildings :)
Equipment:
If you observe a solar eclipse, be sure to use certified solar glasses to protect your vision!
I brought out my old Nikon D7100 since it's an APS-C camera. It also has the same resolution as my Sony A7 III (24MP). Paired with the Sigma 70-300mm, I was shooting at f/8. With 1.5x, I'm shooting at an equivalent of 450mm on full frame!
