How to tie an egg loop knot and how to use an egg loop knot. The egg loop knot is a great knot for keeping soft baits from falling off the hook.

The egg loop knot was invented by salmon fisherman for using salmon eggs as bait but it also works great for keeping chicken liver on the hook when fishing for catfish. If your bait keeps falling off or tears lose often switch to an egg loop knot. Egg loop knots work great.

The bait in the video is chicken liver cured with Pro Cure Salmon Egg Cure. Check out the Catfish and Carp YouTube channel for videos showing how to cure chicken livers so that they are super tough and attractive. Also check out our video demonstrating how you can slay the catfish using egg loop knots and cured chicken liver. I cast 100 yards over and over again and never once lose a single piece of chicken liver.
