How To Make Animated PNGs (APNG)
Did you know that PNGs can be animated like GIFs? APNG or animated PNGs are exactly like animated GIFs, except they support transparency.
In this video, I'll show you how to make animated PNGs using Photoshop and APNG Assembler (Apngasm)
Animated PNGs are supported in all major browsers, including Chrome and Firefox and can use either .png or .apng file extensions.
The main downside to APNGs is that they're larger in filesize in comparison to animated GIFs.
