"So, behind me we have the LG Signature OLED T, our brand new all the TV for 2024. As you can see, the unique thing about this TV, it's transparent. So, you can see through the TV. We have some cool and unique experiences that we provide. As you can see, there's artwork behind me. And then you can watch normal TV. Very cool how you can see the film go up and down, how you can see the TV transition from transparent mode to regular TV mode."

"The unique thing about OLED is it's an organic material that we can print on any type of surface. And so what we've done is printed it on a transparent piece of glass, and then to get the OLED picture quality, that's where we have that contrast film that goes up and down."

ANNOTATION: Content is delivered wirelessly using LG’s Zero Connect Box, which sends 4K images and sound.

STORYLINE:
LG says its new Signature OLED T is the world’s first wireless transparent OLED TV.

Content displayed on the transparent screen appears as if to float in air.

Almost invisible when turned off, the 77-inch transparent OLED screen can switch between transparent mode and a more traditional black background for regular TV mode.

"The unique thing about OLED is it's an organic material that we can print on any type of surface,” explains David Park from LG’s Home Entertainment Division.

“And so what we've done is printed it on a transparent piece of glass, and then to get the OLED picture quality, that's where we have that contrast film that goes up and down."

Content is delivered wirelessly using LG’s Zero Connect Box which sends 4K images and sound.

LG says the transparent display lets owners discover new forms of entertainment and use via its dual viewing experiences - transparent and opaque.

When not being watched as a traditional TV, the OLED T can be used as a digital canvas for showcasing artworks, for instance.
