Super Mario 64 Walkthrough (SM3DAS) Part 15 Rainbow Ride
Today, I have decided to upload the final 15th course in the game called rainbow ride. This level is quite tricky and easily the hardest level in the game. Thanks to video editing the video is shorter than it would have been.
For star 1, all you have to do is ride the rainbow to moving rotating platforms or triple jump or long jump onto the rope to get to those platforms. Then make your way across the platforms and get on another carpet after getting on that carpet go on the carpet to your left towards the airship, duck or jump over those knocking platforms, jump over any platforms you need to then get on the airship and go for the star near the edge of the airship.
For star 2, just do the same thing except you go to the carpet on your right which takes you to a big house in the sky, first the carpet will go in the house and dodge the fire, try not to leave carpet because it will disappear. Then get across those platforms then you will enter house again, it is key to not get burnt by fire so hoping above fire carefully until carpet rises to top of house to get the star is important. Get the star once your on top of house and don't fall off, I almost did.
For star 3 and 100 coin star, I just got on 1st carpet to get 8 coins. Then I went to a certain area to get blue coins near the 8 red coins. If you miss more than 10 blue coins getting this 100 coin star is super hard so if you miss more than 5 just restart, it doesn't hurt, that's why I try to get the blue coins early on in the level. After that you can either find all the coins as I did in the video or get 84 coins and come back to get 100 coins. If you do so just make sure to get the 100 coin star before 8 red coin star. I recommend doing it during star 3 because red coin star is a easy free extra 16 coins and its easy to access. If you don't get 100 the go up carpet and go to right until you get 100 coins.
For star 4 just go down platform near the triangles area and climb up those obstacles until you get on this swinging platform, avoid fire and the 4th star should be yours.
For star 5 just do the same thing as star 4 except keep going towards the triangles and make your way up it using the switch.
For star 6 first get cannon unlocked using the wall jumps to get to pink bob omb same way as used to get blue coins. After that do same exact thing as star 1 except hop in cannon to the slope over the rainbow, avoid the chuck ya and just hit the yellow box with star, if chuck ya throws you you will either fall off or get chucked to a different area on platform so be careful. Hit the yellow box that has star in it then after that jump at star and your done with rainbow ride!
