Xiaomi's Mi-8 series has come out a little while ago but they have kept on releasing several versions of this phone over the last few months including the (trimmed down) Mi8-SE- and Mi8-Youth -models, as well as the more exclusive Mi8 explorer-edition.

Overall I believe that the Mi 8 is a very capable and well performing phone. Xiaomi has been launching phones around the clock, including their budget phone the Mi A2, the Pocophone and the just recently announced Mi Mix 3.
