Attempting to use the Matterport Beta SDK 3D Bundle For VR
Pretty short follow up to the previous Real Estate in VR Video. Since then, I have had a chance to get access to the Matterport SDK and was just playing around with it to see what features are available and how to leverage it for VR. At a very high level, Matterport offers two different types of SDKs:

The Embeds SDK is useful for triggering events and navigation within a property. For example if you want to provide some buttons surrounding the Matterport interface, that is possible. The SDK Bundle on the other hand, allows you to integrate 3D models and assets within a given property, which has a lot of potential use cases from virtual stagings to potentially even virtual VR showings.
Unfortunately, ran into 2 main issues that limited my progression of using their Matterport SDK Bundle for 3D Models. The first being that there is unfortunately no way to turn off the 360 Images that are rendered and view the underlying mesh. This presents problems especially on a Quest where you do not get a parallax effect and it starts to feel like you are overlaying meshes over an image.
Because the SDK is still in beta, they limit access to the SDK only for development purposes and unfortunately that means there is not easy way to test on Quest or any VR device that isnt directly attached for development. Because WebVR didn't seem to trigger with the SDK, I could not figure out a good way to test in VR.
