SHORT FILM SCRIPT: QUICK START GUIDE
Writing a short film idea down into script form is a roadblock for many people. And if you get beyond that, a film needs structure. So I share with you here my process based on Dan Harmon's very basic, very effective 8 phase story circle, which is a streamlined version of Campbell's Monomyth. Most of us are visual creators and have not spent 10,000 hours to become screenwriters; we need help. I'm not repackaging Dan Harmon's method as my own. I'm just sharing with you how I apply it. My goal is to motivate you with a good old-fashioned - well, if this Create Sci-Fi guy can do it, I can certainly do it.
