Symbiosis is a close relationship between two or more different species that live together and interact in a way that benefits at least one of the species. There are three main types of symbiosis: mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism.
In mutualism, both species benefit from the relationship.
In commensalism, one species benefits from the relationship while the other is neither benefited nor harmed.
In parasitism, one species (the parasite) benefits from the relationship while the other (the host) is harmed.
Overall, symbiosis is a common occurrence in nature and can take many forms. It can be an important factor in the evolution and success of different species.
