I'm a hobby game developer and that gives me a lot of flexibility in what and how I learn to code, but it does also mean that I'm not spending a lot of time learning as someone who's doing this full time.
That said - this week I want to share a story to help inspire other new game developers out there. While I know this story will be applicable to other hobbyists like myself, I think many aspiring professionals could also get some useful ideas from it.

The story is essential in that after years of making very little progress in SpriteKit I was given a Udemy course on game development for Unity. This course not only taught me a new language (C#) a new platform for development (Unity) but it also gave me some valuable insight into the general concepts of game design and structuring your game development.
When I ultimately went back to SpriteKit to develop ZER0ED I was faster, more organized, and more committed to finishing the project than I'd ever been in the past. It just goes to show you sometimes a change of scenery can be a great thing to help get that inspiration going.
