😲STUNNING SCIENCE behind Restless Leg Syndrome - By Kishor Singh
You must have heard ladies complaining about the sensation and pain in their legs after sunset. The root cause behind this pain and the sensation is iron deficiency. Double tap the screen and let's explore this Restless Leg Syndrome.
According to medical science, around 10% population faces the Restless Leg Syndrome at least once in their lifetime.
This syndrome causes a sensation of electric current, itching, vibratory sensation, severe pain, and lack of proper sleep, which makes you move your legs or get them massaged. But the interesting thing is that RLS is not a syndrome related to the legs, it is a neurological disorder instead.
RLS is common in pregnant ladies due to iron deficiency.
During the night time, iron level fluctuates in a normal human body, which causes low iron level in the brain and results in the improper functionality of the neurotransmitters that send signals to control the muscles' movements, and ultimately, RLS condition gets generated and you feel a kind of electric current sensation and pain in your legs. This thing generates an urge of getting your legs massaged. What action do you take if or when you feel these weird RLS sensations? Do comment below.
