How to Customize Adobe Illustrator Shortcut Keys
There are many keyboard shortcuts in Adobe Illustrator that can help you work more efficiently. Here are a few common Illustrator shortcuts:
Cmd + N: Creates a new document
Cmd + O: Opens a file
Cmd + S: Saves the active file
Cmd + Z: Undoes the last action
You can customize the keyboard shortcuts in Adobe Illustrator to suit your needs and workflow. Here's how to customize the shortcuts in Illustrator:
Go to Edit -- Keyboard Shortcuts. This will open the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box.
In the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box, select the set of shortcuts you want to customize from the Settings drop-down menu. There are several predefined sets of shortcuts available, including the Default set, the Adobe PDF set, and the Adobe Mobile Apps set. You can also create a new set of shortcuts by selecting New Set from the Settings drop-down menu.
Find the shortcut you want to customize in the list of shortcuts. You can use the search field to filter the list of shortcuts or use the arrow keys to navigate through the list.
Click on the shortcut you want to customize and enter a new shortcut in the field provided. You can use any combination of keys, including the function keys (F1-F12), the numeric keypad, and the modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift).
Repeat the process for any other shortcuts you want to customize.
When you're finished customizing the shortcuts, click the Accept button to apply your changes.
