Starfield is no stranger to different weathers and climates as the planets are vastly different. And every now and then, depending on the planet and its atmosphere it will start to rain. But if you look closely under your ship, the ground is actually dry as the ship is keeping the water from touching. This is a very nice detail and it shows that Bethesda took a lot of immersion ideas from mods. If you mod Skyrim, you’re probably very familiar with the mod No snow under roof or any other mods that make it so the roof protects you from snow and rain. And actually this is not the only time that Bethesda took a concept from a Skyrim mod and implemented it. Now am I saying that they took the idea from the mod necessarily and even if they did, it wouldn’t be a bad thing. But it’s nice to see that Starfield doesn’t require mods to have these certain levels of immersion.
