The beauty of a new Football Manager game is that we get a whole new generation of wonderkids to ponder and project. FM21 is coming out in a few days, so I figured I would look back and hold myself accountable. My first wonderkid list, scrutinized with what we know now - are these wonderkids actually panning out or were my recommendations way off. Not surprisingly, I picked some great wonderkids and some not so great ones -- I like to think I hit a few gems though! Obviously I did, I’m me, but boy if I hadn’t I would’ve very disappointed in FM20 me.

Football Manager boils down to finding the next great players for me. There is no greater joy than unearthing future superstars of the footballing world before anyone else knows about them. Making wonderkid videos about FM20 gave me that joy, and I’m sure in Football Manager 2021 I will get that joy again. Outside of Moukoko who else is out there? Where are the players that will lead Champions League and World Cup winning teams alongside stars we already know? FM21 is about to show us. Let’s see how right I was last year.
