First off, A tweet from Apple analyst min chi co. this morning stated that Apple are dropping the solid star buttons that have been the headlines of the iPhone 15 rumours and leaks. He says this is due to some unresolved technical issues. The prospect of solid-state buttons aren't going away forever but we just might not see it in the 15 series.
NEXT, the mute switch is getting a makeover, transforming into a programmable button that users can assign their own shortcuts to - no more simple muting for this button!
In exciting news, all the iPhone 15 models will be upgraded to OLED displays, although whether the non-pro versions will get an always-on display and high refresh rate remains to be seen. Reports suggest these devices are going to spot the Samsung M12 OLED display panels. Keep your expectations in check, as the validity of this news is still up in the air.
Moving on to camera updates, new renders suggest that the camera bump is going to be even bigger than we anticipated - almost twice the size of last year's Pro models.0
For those holding out hope for a fully-displayed iPhone, we've got some bad news - it's not expected until 2027, according to Ross Young. However, all iPhone models will be getting the 120hz promotion display within the next two years.
