Currently, there is no standard tool to perform automated content migrations in AEM. Projects use custom solutions or Groovy Console.
AEM Easy Content Upgrade simplifies content migrations by executing migration scripts during package installation. Run modes are supported to manage differences between environments and fallback scripts in case of errors can be specified. It keeps a history and ships with a GUI to visualize the status of the migration runs. Scripts can also be (re)run via the GUI. In addition, there is a service API and health check for last run.
