Join us at 18.15 on 7 December 2022 as we celebrate 100 years since Carrie Morrison became the first woman to be admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, followed by Mary Pickup, Mary Sykes, Maud Crofts and Agnes Twiston Hughes.

We’re marking the occasion by holding a reception event on 7 December at 113 Chancery Lane attended by MPs, leading women from across the profession and generations, D&I professionals and other key allies and stakeholders.

The event will celebrate the achievements of the first women admitted to the roll of solicitors and all the women who have followed since.

We’ll be live-streaming speeches from:

· The Rt Hon. Victoria Prentis MP, Attorney General

· Lubna Shuja, the President of the Law Society of England and Wales

· Dana Denis-Smith, CEO Obelisk Support, Founder First 100 Years and Council member at the Law Society of England and Wales
