Hey everyone!!! Back with some NEW music!
Thrilled to share with you the 2nd single from my forthcoming LP - This was the first song I co-wrote in Berlin last spring with Pascal Reinhardt and Betty Dittrich. In my travels to Berlin earlier this year, I had the privilege of working with incredible producers Kilian & Jo, and they brought the song and creative vision to life better than I could have imagined. Together we fine-tuned melodies and ad-libs, and really sought to give this track a ''global" flavor.
The message is also personal for me, as I have found myself many times in life chasing a dream, or relationship (of any kind), and feeling like it's within reach/even realistic, but never realized..sometimes I've had a hard time deciphering how long is appropriate to wait and hope, or know when it's time to stop chasing something that will never be, and instead look to the future. The sense of anxiousness in pursuit, and sometimes the denial of the ultimate is painful to process...But I have also found great freedom in simply letting go. I'm learning to hold on to people and things loosely, and rather hold on to God tightly...resting in the truth that my life is not my own - it's in the hands of someone much greater, and I get to be part of a much greater story.. And as I learn this, I'm finding it easier to reject opportunities to become bitter from facing disappointment.. Instead, live with joy and hope, that the future will be better than even my wildest dreams. The future will be better.
