Weller Soldering Gun / Iron D550 240/325 Watt Iron Line Cord Replacement – #13
This video is looking at a Weller D550 240/325-watt soldering iron. The iron has a broken line cord and could do with a clean-up. The iron is checked for functionality with a multimeter. The line cord is replaced, and the meter is cleaned up a little. This is not a complete restoration since the meter is made to be used. The iron is then tested to see how hot the tip gets and how much power it uses. The iron does not appear to be using the maximum power it should be capable of so this likely needs a new tip or this is just the typical value this iron is capable of.
