CanDoo: Reshaping Legal Research With AI - Vector Intern Talks
Jack and Sammed's presentation describes Candoo, a legal research tool using AI to help lawyers and researchers find better information, faster. A new feature of CanDoo, Query Composer, is introduced to aid users enhance their database queries. In the past, creating boolean queries could be challenging due to their confusing syntax and rigid nature. But with Query Composer, users now have the power of AI to assist them in generating their queries. Another feature of CanDoo, Case Chat, recently had a new version rolled out to users. Due to the nebulous nature of Question/Answering tasks and lack of labeled data, an internal benchmark is presented to document the quality of new versions as the product gets updated. This novel score was validated by internal legal experts and will act as a method of A/B testing for future versions.
