🎥 The "Immerse & Connect" video series is back with a brand-new episode! Today, we're highlighting Tabatha Cruz and Tania D. Mitchell, co-chairs for the Local Community and Engagement Committee (LCEC) at #ASHE2024.
With the committee's contributions, there are multiple opportunities and ways to engage with the space and place of Minneapolis culture in context. The 2024 Syllabus, available at ashe.ws/syllabus2024, includes an extended look at the heritage and history of Minneapolis and St. Paul areas.
The LCEC will also present the Presidential Session “Building New Foundations: Scholarship, Activism, and Praxis within the Arts”, a Local and Community Owned BIPOC Vendor Fair, Witnessing Visitations to the George Floyd Memorial with the Agape Movement, and the “Save the Boards” Exhibit and Discussion with Founder Kenda Zellner-Smith.
Thank you to the Local and Committee Engagement Committee for engaging opportunities to learn about and connect with Minneapolis and St. Paul as the site of the 49th Annual Conference.
