Eric Yuan, a founder of Zoom, has always wanted to help people through technology. In the 1990s, he was listening to a speech by Bill Gates, which sparked an urge in him to pursue his dream in Silicon Valley. Soon afterward, he moved to the U.S and worked as an engineer at WebEx. A few years later, after the company was acquired by Cisco, Yuan became the Corporate Vice President. He was instrumental in the growth of the company.
Actualizing his long-held dream, in 2011, Yuan embarked on a new venture - Zoom. In 2013, the platform was officially launched. 2014 marked the beginning of Zoom's golden age and by 2017, Zoom has reached a $1 Bn valuation.
