Have you ever manually scanned through data looking for duplicates? You can sort the data alphabetically to help, but that still relies on your eye to pick up duplicates. However, you can use conditional formatting and a custom formula to highlight any duplicates in a column, making them easy to spot.
Formula: =countif($D:$D, D1) greater than 1
the formula counts all instances and marks whenever there are 2 or more of any value
