I finished this video just before the passing of Kyle Jean-Baptiste a few days ago. Kyle was the first African-American actor to be cast as Jean Valjean (the male lead) in Les Misérables on Broadway. On August 29th, 2015, at the age of just 21, he tragically fell to his death from a fire escape in Brooklyn. I wasn’t familiar with his work, but after I heard the horrible news, I spend some time watching him; he was fantastic. I just wanted to give my deepest condolences to his family and the Broadway community. This video is dedicated to Kyle and his amazing talent.
