Stefanie grew up in Berlin and completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience in Munich before moving to the US where she leads a research team at a R1 institution. Her thriving research program has secured over $10M in funding to date, and she successfully earned tenure while also building a business. In 2019, she founded Team Leadership In Research and more recently GLIA-Leadership, offering leadership training and management tools to research teams for success and fulfillment. Her ultimate goal is to transform academic culture from one of negativity and chronic stress to one of optimism and joy.
