The Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) is a service that provides resizable storage volumes that you can attach to Amazon EC2 instances. EBS volumes are an example of block-based storage.

There are several EBS volume types including HDD and SSD-based options that you can choose from with varying price points and performance profiles. You can deploy EBS volumes to a single EC2 instance or even to multiple instances with EBS Multi-Attach.

In this AWS video tutorial, you'll learn the concepts around all of the factors so you can make an informed decision when choosing which EBS volume type to use with your EC2 instances.
