So there’s lots of ways you can license your music. On this channel we talk a lot about sync licensing to TV, film, advertising, and gaming, and micro-sync or stock (micro-sync is the cool word for it now wink) for YouTube, presentations and other uses.
Now, many people think of being on TV and Film and Ads as more prestigious and bigger money, and I would say it is. It’s where I focus my time with music these days.
But I also still make MONTHLY income from web sites like Pond5, Motion Array, and others. No waiting 9 months for BMI or for “upfronts”. No losing my publishing. I do not pass Go, but I still collect $200!
