'Dangerous' heat wave: Highs up to 36 C forecasted for Calgary next week
A “historic,” long-lasting heat wave will bring dangerously high temperatures to southern Alberta beginning this weekend, Environment Canada says.
The federal agency expects to declare an extreme heat warning for Calgary and area Sunday, ushering in potentially record-breaking highs of up to 36 C, and as many as six consecutive days where the mercury climbs to at least 32 C.
