When using an SLR camera in selfie mode where the viewfinder is not being blocked by the human eye, incorrect light meter readings can occur. When a camera is used in normal mode the human eye blocks the viewfinder for stray incoming light that can affect the exposure of the overall shot. To correct for this, most manufactures of SLR camera will provide a way to block (curtain) the viewfinder to eliminate this problem. This video brings awareness to those using SLR's to make videos without a person handling the camera from the rear.
