In this video I compare a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro with an 8 core i9 processor and radeon pro 5500M 8GB graphics with 32GB of ram to a 2016 15" MacBook Pro with a 2.8Ghz i7 processor and M370X 2Gb graphics with 16GB RAM in terms of video editing.
I test a variety of codecs including MP4 H.264, HEVC H.265, 10-bit HDR H.265 and also raw codecs like Canon C200 RAW cinema raw lite and RED .R3D raw 4.5K but not 6K or 8K. I use Final Cut Pro X FCX, Premiere Pro, and Davinci Resolve 16.
