There is MORE to Quant Than Validation!
Many people advise others based on my advise which is awesome however there are often caveats or special cases which people might not understand. Recently someone was explaining how model validation are real quants. Yes this is true however, they went on to say some other roles such as model developers on the buy side are not quants. This isn't accurate. The skills required to do model development are "quant" and are the same skills used in model validation.
