In this video, I walk through how to use different effects on bass to create ambient soundscapes. I could have used the effects pedals I have but for simplicities sake I'm using effects apps in AUM. This video is more about the sounds certain effects can produce rather than reviews of the pedals themselves.
I used a Fender American Original 60s Precision Bass with Fender flatwound strings. AUM is set up with the first channel for basic effects like compressor, modulation, delay, and reverb. Another channel is set up for more weirder effects like granulizers, and a third channel for soundscape apps like SpaceFields and Velvet Machine. I have these channels route to an output channel with a high-pass filter set to 150 Hz to tighten up the low end and Klevgrand's Grand Finale for some final mastering.
