Very quick Cinema 4D tip that will save you a lot of time and hassle. This one is for those who use textures a lot.
When working with materials and textures you’ll come across wanting to set the same setting for multiple texture slots
If you have multiple textures that need to share the same settings, this will save you a lot of time and hassle.
In this video we'll look at how you can achieve this easily using expressions
We will add the same texture to both the colour and the luminance channel and change the gamma value.
Normally you would have to do the same to the luminance settings but you can save yourself time by going to the colour texture channel, right clicking on the texture slot and selecting Xpressions then set driver.
Then go to your Luminance channel, texture, Xpressions and Set driven (absolute).
Thats’ it!
Now when you change the texture settings of the colour channel, the luminance settings adjust accordingly.
And by the way you can also use this technique for pretty much all the other texture modifiers.
I hope it's helpful!
