What is the probability of an event A given that event B has occurred? We call this conditional probability, and it is governed by the formula that P(A|B) which reads "probability of A given B" is equal to the P(A intersect B)/P(B). We look at an example involving the Conditional probability

From a city population, the probability of selecting i) a male or a smoker is 7/10, ii)a male smoker is 2/5, and iii) a male, if a smoker is already selected is 2/3. Find the probability of selecting i) a non-smoker, ii) a male, and iii) a smoker, if a male is first selected.
