Is the World's Most Luxurious Hi-Fi House in New York City?
The McIntosh Group opened the original House of Sound in 2015 in New York City at 214 Lafayette street, which is in the SoHo area. But the location closed for good during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. On September 21, 2023, the McIntosh Group opened House of Sound in New York City at 357 West 17th street, which is in the Chelsea area.
The old and new locations were primarily created to promote the McIntosh Laboratory and Sonus faber hi-fi products, as well as other products from the brands that the company distributes through Fine Sound Americas, a distribution company that McIntosh Group owns.
