Seshat, Stretching the Cord, Egyptian Constellations, Egyptian architecture, Pyramid Texts. The Imperishable Stars are the Northern Stars, the King goes into the Arms of Atum and the Imperishable Stars. Unlike the unwearying stars such as Sah (Orion) and Sirius (Sothis, Sopdet) the Imperishable Stars are seen all year round. All the Pyramids and most other major sites are aligned to the North Stars.
The Sacred cermony of the Stretchingthe Cord was carried out by the King and Seshat, the axis aligned to Meskhetyu (The Bull Foreleg) or Northern IMPERISHABLE STAR.
Even the temples such as Luxor that built parallel to the Nile began with the Stretching the Cord ceremony and observations of the North Star.
All cultures around the world hold the stars such as Orion, Sirius and the Pleiades in high esteem but they are only visible for a fraction of the year. Unlike the Imperishable Northern Stars that also mark the yearly calendar, Precession (Axial Precession) and are vital to navigation - all year round.
For people of the Northern Hemisphere such as the Egyptian the North Star is the eternal star, all the other stars turn around the north star.
