I also forgot to add the perceived intrusion while entering relationships with others. We might see someone wanting to connect with us as intrusive or overwhelming and hence, we might get just another reason to avoid a relationship. The perceived intrusion might sometimes be true but sometimes might exist as a result of previous experiences. Again, working on assertiveness should provide protection against being intruded and helps us to distinguish between healthy vs unhealthy relations.
